Reinvention

One of the best parts about being a fashion lover is how fashion always reinvents itself and it connects you to the past. Yes, I am a crazy vintage lover but I think part of that is my obsession with nostalgia. I love old movies and old styles. I love how women used to wear hats and daily take pride in their appearance. While it has taken me like forever to admit this fact, the truth is that: I love fashion.

All the colors!

Today I woke up feeling really excited and extremely motivated. Do you ever do that? I wish I could feel like this everyday, but I guess I am real. I think in life you have those moments where you feel truly defeated. But thankfully these moments are often followed by something exciting or a rush of positivity. Whether or not I can justify my hobbies they make me happy. Expressing myself is the one thing that makes me feel more human and less... hamster in a wheel per se. Putting my energy into creating something, then watching it grow is the most profound excitement. And in the same token, being surrounded by people that can share your hobby and your excitement for an interest makes it all the better. This is my friend Payton (The Window Shopper). We met through a HelloLuvvy collabo and have been working together ever since. Payton has an incredible fashion sense and the perfect cool girl attitude. I love it! I wanted to share with your all a few of our collaborations including links to each individual post.

1. An Interview with The Window Shopper & Country Club Musings.

This is one of my absolute favorite fashion posts over on HelloLuvvy.com.
It was so fun to interview Payton and hear all about her fashion sense and tips.

Our next collaboration was a conceptual piece that I just love, featuring vintage floral house dresses. You'll want to click the link above to see the post in it's entirety.

3. BAMBA

And then lastly and most recent, there was BAMBA. And oh! All the colors!

I really look forward to more collabos with Ms. Payton.

Collaboration-ness

I think when you collaborate with someone you don't always know what to expect. Will they love your concept or absolutely hate it, and vice versa. In this third collabo look with Black Cherry all these thoughts came to mind. The vision was to wear one shirt three ways. It was also a promo for an event called Retro On the Runway, so head to toe vintage was a must. When Leea handed me this blue jumper/vest/dress I will admit my first thoughts were, "um...are you sure this looks okay?" But in the end while this look is very different and more than anything fun, it worked perfectly for our established goal: One shirt three very different ways, and retro to the core. Check it out!

Pops of red, tights for colder temps, and all vintage! Different but oh so fun. I mean who wants to be like everyone else anyway? I don't!
